Politics vs. Reality,

Liberals often say that with the right politicians in Washington, our troubles will go away. They say the right social programs and political moves will end racism, oppression, and poverty. Look at what liberal columnist Maureen Dowd said on Meet The Press on August 8, 2004:

"..the neocons wanted a utopia in Iraq."

All conservatives wanted for Iraq was freedom; in 2006 liberals still think a utopia is possible in the United States.
