Forget the facts and figures,

Here's a humorous quote I heard recently; if you understand this quote then your understanding of Capitalism is good.

"The big difference between sex for money and sex for free is that sex for money usually costs less."

Forget about those fancy facts and figures.....that quote describes Capitalism's truths well.

Good point Tom,

Tom Sullivan of KFBK radio made an excellent point on his show. He said that that a lot of investors fail to understand the logic of buying and selling. A lot of investors want to get out of the market when prices of stocks drop and they wish to get into the stock market once prices go up. As Tom correctly pointed out it should be the exact opposite; people should act the same way towards prices on Wall Street as they do towards prices at Macy's. In other words buy when the price is low, don't panic. Common sense helps a lot in Capitalist countries.

Why?

Ok this is an easy one. Why does anyone need to have the government steal their hard earned money and give it to someone else? I could make this a fancy post but it gets no simpler than that. Anti-Capitalists want to steal money and redistribute it. Why? Perhaps politicians, school teachers, and some of today's parents teach our young people that it is a noble thing. Perhaps.

Inside the mind of a Capitalist,

Here's a good quote by Leo Buscaglia

"Value yourself. The only people who apprecaite a doormat are people with dirty shoes." -Leo F Buscaglia

What's really important?

A lot of people frown on low paying jobs. They see them as anything but good for the average worker. See Wikipedia's entry for McJob. However, most people working such jobs are high school aged young people. To them the pay is not the important thing. What is most important is the job skills they learn such as getting to work on time, respecting coworkers, and obeying supervisors. That is what is really important.
