If you'll take a hard look at a country where the government is involved in the economy, (every socialist country) you'll discover why socialism is unhealthy. One of the first things you'll notice is that nearly every industry there is inferior to the same industries in Capitalist countries. You'll also notice that natives of that country do well economically once they move to a Capitalist country like the United States; often they become more productive in the Untied States than natural born Americans. (
and likewise have more money than natural born Americans) The human spirit always has and still does long for freedom to progress; so-called "progressive" ideas such as Socialism only hinder progress.
